Empire – Rozell C. Hodge, age 76, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home.

Rozell, born in Macon County, had lived in Empire for 65 years. She was the daughter of the L.W. and Magie Wilson Cromer and was preceded in death by her son, Michael E. Hodge, her daughter, Sonja Maresa Hodge and her brother, Jimmy Cromer. She had worked at L&H Shirt Factory and retired from Jac-Arts Label Factory. Rozell was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Oliver Hodge of Empire; her grandchildren, Harliee (Devin) Henderson and Preston Hodge of Dublin, Ethan Hodge of Leesburg; her great grandchildren, Bo Henderson and Briggs Henderson; her sister, Cathy Mygrant of Oglethorpe; sister-in-law, Kaylene Cromer; several nieces and nephews including, Lisa Oliver, Michelle Cromer and Linda Cromer; special friends, Suzanne and Carlis Wynne.

The family is at 270 Empire-Chester Highway, Cochran.
