Cochran – Ruth Spratling Dennard, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, February 26, 2021, surrounded by her children. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, March 1, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. in Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Dennard, born in Columbus, Georgia, grew up in Warner Robins and resided most of her life in Bleckley County in the Cary community. She was the daughter of the late Kyle Spratling and Ruby Hurst Spratling. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin King Dennard, her brother Bobby Spratling, and her sister Pat Fowler Chester. Mrs. Ruth was retired from Robins Air Force Base and also served many years in the Bleckley County School System. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the AGAPE Sunday School Class. Mrs. Ruth loved ornamental flowers, working in the yard and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Survivors are her children, Buddy Dennard, Verna (Wayne) Ramage, Benny (Vickie) Dennard, Stevie (Debra) Dennard of Cochran; grandchildren, Matt (Kim) Ramage, Melissa (Justin) Churchwell, Kyle (Katelyn) Dennard; great grandchildren, Taylor Ramage, Amye Kayte Ramage, Ruthie Ramage, Weston Churchwell as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice or Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 134 Abney Road, Cochran, GA 31014.

The family will greet friends after the service Monday at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
