Cochran – Shawn Bruce, age 58, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at his residence. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home.

Shawn was born on June 1, 1965, in Washington D.C. He was the son of the late James Edward and Mary Ellen Dempsey Bruce. He graduated from the Tallulah Falls School, class of 1985 and attended Georgia College. Shawn held many different positions for numerous businesses. He was a salesman and vice president for Blair Awning & Siding in Macon. He worked as a foreman for Vida Hill Construction in Macon. He also worked as a maintenance supervisor for Pinehurst Apartment Complex in Lynn Haven, FL. He was the owner/operator of Bruce Service Company. Shawn could do anything he put his mind to. He loved to eat and loved building model airplanes. He also loved walking and playing with his "furbabies".

Survivors are his wife, Cindi Bruce of Cochran; his daughter, Brianna Bruce, his granddaughter, Andilynn Leigh; his stepdaughters, Heather (David) Richard and Holeigh Hutchings; his step-grandchildren, Eli and Griffin. his sister Dawn (David) Hessman of Evans; his aunt, Rachel Nation and all of his "furbabies".

The family is at 110 S 12th St, Cochran and will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
