Cochran – Shawn T. Carr, age 52, died Saturday, November 12, 2022, in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Roddy Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Shawn, born in Dublin, had lived all of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late Judy Ann Smith Carr Davis. He was a mechanic for Blanchard Equipment/John Deere in Dublin and a 1988 graduate of Bleckley County High School. Shawn loved the outdoors, hunting and was a member of Cedar Creek Hunting Club in Danville. He was a member of Roddy Baptist Church.

Survivors are his daughter, Lyla Carr of Cochran; his parents, Thermon and Barbara Carr of Empire; his brothers, Scott (Bonnie) Carr of Vidalia and Mark (Casey) Churchwell of Centerville; his sister, Amy (Bobby) Dabbs of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 287 Woodland Trail, Cochran and will greet friends one hour before the service Tuesday at Roddy Baptist Church.
