Cochran - Shelby Jean Davis Sanders, age 80, died Friday, March 6, 2020, in Bryant Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Monday, March, 9, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Sanders, a life long resident of Bleckley County, was the daughter of the late Howard Elija and Maudie Lee Howell Davis. She was retired from Jac-Arts in Cochran. Mrs. Shelby was a member of Southside Baptist Church and served for many years on the church hostess committee. Nanny, as known to her grandchildren, loved her family.

Survivors are her husband, James W. Sanders of Cochran; her children, Brenda (Kenny) Rodgers of Perry and Donna (Lacy) Royal of Cochran; her sister, Ruby Black of Cochran; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 142 Coley Station Road, Cochran and will greet friends one hour before the service Monday at Mathis Funeral Home.
