Cochran – Shirley Belflower Bender, age 86, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023, in Piedmont Macon Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 2, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in Limestone Baptist Church. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Cochran. She was the daughter of the late John Bradley and Rhoda Floyd Belflower. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Colleen Bender Foskey, her brothers, Wayne Belflower, John Belflower and Alvin Belflower. Mrs. Shirley was a 1955 graduate of Cochran High School, had worked at Ray NeSmith Datsun and was a retired agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company. She was a member of Limestone Baptist Church.

Survivors are her children, Sherry (Mike) Eaton of Warner Robins, Phillip Bender, Sr. and Loran Bender both of Cochran; her sisters, Sandra Higgins, Delores Corriveau and Connie (Joe) Smith all of Cochran; her brother, Robert (Debbie) Belflower of Cochran; grandchildren, Paji, Phillip, Daniel, Montana and Melody Claire; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Limestone Baptist Church, 874 GA Highway 257, Cochran, GA 31014.

The family is at 970 Limestone Road, Cochran and will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service Monday at Limestone Baptist Church.
