Cochran – Shirley Horton Mayne, age 77, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in the Piedmont Macon Medical Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. in Salem Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Shirley, a lifelong resident of Bleckley County, was the daughter of the late Nathan and Carrie Lee Davis Horton and was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Evodine "Dean" Mayne Hodge. She was retired from Lithonia Lighting and a 1966 graduate of Cochran High School. Shirley was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Johnny Mayne of Cochran; her son, Steven (Melinda) Mayne of Cochran; her grandchildren, Jana (Jimmy) Burney of Eastman, Christopher Hodge and Marissa Hodge both of Cochran; six great grandchildren; her sister, Frances Horton of Cochran; her brother, Chapple Horton of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends one hour before the service Sunday at Salem Baptist Church.
