Cochran – Sidney Howard Hearn, age 83, died Thursday, March 3, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sidney, a lifelong resident of Cochran, was the son of the late Joh Washington "Columbus" and Cecil Ione Cook Hearn. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Herman Hearn, Johnny Hearn and Marvin Hearn and his sisters, Myrna Hearn and Ruby Meeks. He was retired from JM Huber and a member of Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors are his brother William (Edna) Hearn of Cochran, his sister, Laura Bolden of Cochran and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Sunday, at Mathis Funeral Home.
