Cochran – Sonya M. Humphrey, age 55, died Monday, June 27, 2022, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran.

Sonya, born in Kokomo, Indiana, had lived most of her life in Cochran. She was a homemaker and a very loving and caring person.

Survivors are her husband, Johnnie Humphrey of Cochran; her children, Bobby (Ashley) White of Cochran, Billy (Sarah) White of Hazlehurst, Cassandra (Timothy) Raffield of Cochran, Austin Smith of Cochran, Amber Humphrey of Cochran and Josh Humphrey of Macon; her parents, Marilyn and Stephen Whitaker of Fort Pierce, FL; her sisters, Dulcey Lehman of Tennessee and Lora Dodson of Indiana; her brother, Stephen (Michelle) Whitaker of Bradenton, FL; thirty grandchildren and one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends after the service Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home and will gather at the family residence, 465 Frank Cook Road, Cochran, after the service and visitation.
