Obituary

Cochran – Sybil Lee Bryan Raffield, age 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024, at The Canopy Assisted Living in Warner Robins. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024, with a visitation from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Cochran. She will be laid to rest at Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens next to her husband of 48 years. The family will have a private graveside service.

Mrs. Sybil was born on September 21, 1945, in Dodge County, but lived most of her life in Bleckley County. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Mamie Lee Bryan of Chester and was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Raffield; her sister, Doris Singletary of Eastman; her brothers, Clinton Bryan and Alton Bryan of Chester.

Mrs. Sybil was a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was also a faithful member and servant at Lakeview Baptist Church. She sang in the choir and served faithfully in the church. She was a loving wife, MOM, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She depended deeply on prayer, hard work and giving more than receiving in her daily walks of life.

Survivors are her sons, Danny (Paula) Raffield, Randy (Bonnie) Raffield and Ronald (Kim) Raffield all of Cochran; her grandchildren, Josh (Michelle) Raffield, Chase Raffield, Carter Raffield, Myranda (Clay) Bearden, Avery Raffield, Haley Raffield, Bryce (Meredith) Kirkpatrick and Kace (Melissa) Kirkpatrick; her brother Albert Bryan; her sisters, Grace Evans, Marie (Jimmy) Purser, and Nell (Robert) Sanders. Mrs. Sybil had 11 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Sybil requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 203 Lakeview Church Rd, Cochran, GA 31014.

The family will receive family and friends at Danny and Paula's residence, 184 Jeanne Drive, Cochran, on Tuesday, March 5th through Wednesday, March 6th.
