Tom was born on February 8, 1953, in Macon. He was the son of the late Thomas Graham "Pop" Mickle, Sr. and Nina Dominey Bryant. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Mickle and Neal Mickle and his niece, Jessalyn Dominy Kletcke. Growing up, Tom had lived in Macon, Jacksonville, FL and Atlanta. He attended Briarcliff High School, in Dekalb County, and graduated in 1971. After school, Tom worked in construction in Atlanta for years. He then moved to Alaska, where he managed the Great Land Hotel. After working at the Great Land Hotel, Tom decided to stay in Alaska and worked on the Alaskan Pipeline. Tom loved the cold weather, so he spent many, many years in Alaska and Colorado. Tom loved to hunt, ride horses and spending time with his friends and family. He was always good about keeping in touch with everyone in his life.
