Cochran – Trendie Lynn Spires, age 56, died Friday, October 1, 2021, in Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin following a lengthy illness. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, October 4, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Trendie was a lifelong resident of Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Charles Lamar, Sr. and Judy Fincher McDonald and the wife of the late Ray Spires. Trendie was a graduate of Bleckley County High School and Georgia Southwestern University. She was a teacher and administrator for Twiggs County School System for 31 years. Trendie dearly loved her family and had tremendous compassion for others.

Survivors are her children, James Ian Spires, Joseph Landon Spires and Tracy Annaleise Spires all of Cochran; grandson Kayden Rae Spires; her sister, Malendy Andrews of Cochran; her brothers, Mike (Kim) Wynne of Tignall, Charles L. (Toby) McDonald, Jr. of Cochran and William Murray (Beth) McDonald of Dublin; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends after the service Monday at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
