Cochran – Vera B. Stewart, age 79, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Stewart, born in Colquitt, GA, was the daughter of the late Odie and Lottie Widner Burke and the wife of the late L. Neal Stewart. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Oather Burke, Nathan Burke and Ralph Burke and her grandson, Matt Bryan. Mrs. Vera was retired from AT&T and a member of Cochran First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors are her children, Debbie (Kenny) Lucas of Cochran and Sam (Jeana) Allen of Wewahitchka, FL; step-children, Janice (Terry) Sapp of Cochran, Michael Stewart of McDonough and Linda (David) Mills of Chase City, VA; ; grandchildren, Michael Bryan, Kristina (Clint) Fisher, Aren (Derek) Pace, Jessica Sapp, Zack Lucas, Paige (Mitch) Searcy, Brooke (Sean) Moberly and Cody Allen; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends after the service Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
