Cochran – Vertis R. "BB" Fordham, age 84, died Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at the Cochran Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in Yearty Cemetery.

Mr. Fordham, born in Dodge County, had lived most of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late Robert Reno and Myrtle Bates Fordham and preceded in death by three siblings. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a lifetime member and 32nd Degree Mason at the Cochran Masonic Lodge #217 F&AM. He was a member of the Cochran Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Faye Holland Fordham of Cochran; his daughter, Yvonne Booker of Cochran, son and daughter-in-law, Irwin and Pam Fordham of Jefferson, daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Russell Smith of Cochran; his sister, Shirley Mullis of Utah; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 158 Ann St. and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Mathis Funeral Home.
