Cochran — Virginia Faye Smith, age 83, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Dodge County Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Virginia was the daughter of the late Dewitt and Annie Meadows Smith, both of whom she loved deeply. She was preceded in death by her siblings Bea Dykes, Helen Nash, Raymond Smith, Claude Smith, Oliver Smith, Georgia NeSmith, Patricia Daniels, and her sister-in-law Nancy "Jo" Smith.

Virginia (Grammy) was loved by everyone she met. She was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan and never missed the nightly 13WMAZ News. She loved listening to music and enjoyed being outdoors to watch all types of animals. Some of her favorite memories include living with her family, Jennifer, Shane, and Hannah, and spending time with them on the porch outside.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer (Shane) Coulter of Cochran; her granddaughter, Hannah (Garrett) Neal of Cochran; her siblings, Billy (Sallie) Smith of Cochran, and Wilson Smith of Byron; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will greet friends after the graveside service on Monday at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
