Cochran – Wana Brown, age 70, died Monday, July 25, 2022, in the South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown, born in Moultrie, had lived in Leesburg before moving to Cochran 7 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Wayne and Nancy Frances Collier Brown. Wana was retired from the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, a 1969 graduate of Moultrie High School and a magnum cum laude graduate from Georgia Southwestern with a BA degree in Business Administration. She was Baptist.

Survivors are her husband, Eddie Brown of Cochran; her daughter, Amanda Brown of Cochran; her sister Amy (Mike) Mercer of The Villages, FL; her brother, Ken Brown of Moultrie.

The family will greet friends from 11:00 A.M. until time for the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
