Cochran – Wendell Berryhill, age 84, died Sunday, August 7, 2022, at his residence. A celebration of life memorial visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home.

Wendell, a lifelong resident of Cochran, was the son of the late Gentie Clyde and Patsy Bollinger Berryhill, Sr.  and the husband of the late Kathleen Thompson Berryhill. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John "Skeebo" Berryhill and Henry Fred Berryhill, Sr., his sister, Rosa Williams Stancil. Wendell was a US Army veteran, a carpenter and had worked at Middle Georgia College. He loved fishing and hunting.

Survivors are his son, Bruce (Katrina) Berryhill of Cochran; his grandchildren, Bailey (Dylan) Helm, Jessica (Jeremy) McPherson, Kaitlin Joren and Mikayla (Jon) Yerger; great grandchildren, Levi Bryant, Mason Bryant, Chandler Helm, Heidi Helm and Evelyn Yerger; his brothers, Clyde "Sonny" Berryhill of Empire and Bill (Ann) Berryhill of Lizella; several nieces and nephews.
