Cochran – Willene Wimberly Foster, age 71, went to heaven Friday, July 26, 2019, in Navicent Health in Macon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. at Longstreet United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Willene was a lifelong resident of Cochran and was the daughter of the late Mathew Whit and Wilmontine Hardy Wimberly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lawson Foster, her daughter Mary Claire Foster and her brothers, Tommy Wimberly and Matthew Wimberly. She taught piano lessons for 49 years and was a 1966 graduate of Cochran High School. Willene was a member and pianist/organist at Longstreet United Methodist Church and was wholly responsible for indoor plumbing at the church.

Survivors are her children, Wimberly Willene Foster (Andy) Quay of Ormond Beach, FL and David Foster of Cochran; her wonderful grandsons, Zachary Andrew Quay and Alexander Killian Quay of Ormond Beach, FL; her sister, Claire Wimberly (Owen) Kirkpatrick of Newnan; her niece Whitney Willene Kirkpatrick of Newnan; her sister-in-law, Linda Foster of Warner Robins.

The family is at 107 Violet Street and will greet friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
