Cochran – Willie Lamar "Junior" Mathis, Jr., age 63, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Junior, born in Hawkinsville, had lived all of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late Willie Lamar Mathis, Sr. He was an electrician, former employee at Lithonia Lighting and a 1973 graduate of Cochran High School. Junior was an avid bow hunter and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors are his daughter, Lisa Kae Mathis Gilium of Denver Colorado; his mother, Louise Garnto Mathis of Cochran; his brother, Rickey Mathis of Cochran; his sisters, Jackie Mathis Kilchriss and Bernice Mathis Cook of Cochran, his niece, Tammy (Richard) Bivona of Cochran; nephew, James (Kayse) Pritchett of Cochran.

The family is at 107 Eleventh St. and will greet friends after the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
