Cochran – Willodean "Dean" Jones, age 87, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Dean, born in Bleckley County had lived in Macon before moving back to Cochran in 1973. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Trudye McDaniel Floyd and was preceded in death by her companion, Guy Barlow and her brother and sister-in-law, Morris and Quinelle Floyd. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a 1954 graduate of Cochran High School. Mrs. Dean was a member of Limestone Baptist Church.

Survivors are her daughters, Cindy Jones and Melanie (Dwayne) Collins of Cochran; her grandchildren, Casey (Derek) Warren, Callie (Jay) Hatfield and Hartley (Dustin) Dykes all of Cochran and Parker (Charlee) Collins of Greensboro; eight great grandchildren; her brother, Wayne (Jenny) Floyd of Cochran; several nieces and nephews; caregivers Annie Reeves and Sharon Mobley.

The family is at 726 Limestone Road, Cochran and will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
