Obituary

Cochran – Wyndell C. Skipper, age 84, died Saturday, July 4, 2020, in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Wyndell, a lifelong resident of Bleckley County, was the son of the late Hugh and Queenie Pipkin Skipper. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base, a US Army Veteran and a 1955 graduate of Cochran High School. After retirement Wyndell enjoyed helping at Uchee Trail Golf Course and Whipple Simpson Farms. He was a member of Limestone Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Jane Godfrey Skipper of Cochran; his children, Pam Skipper Mills of Douglasville and Owen Skipper of Suches; his grandchildren Tori Mills, Kati Mills, Crystal Skipper and Hannah Skipper; four great grandchildren; his sisters, Mavis Skipper Salinas and Gail Skipper (Gary) Smith of Cochran and Myrtice Skipper Bass of Macon; his brother-in-law, Billy Ray Godfrey of Cochran; nieces, Kerri Smith Rogers and Kiley Smith; nephew, Don Bass.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the donor's church or charity of choice.
